Afghanistan: Blast close to educational institute in Kabul leaves 30 dead
Kabul: The death toll due to the blast near an educational centre in Kabul on Saturday touched 30, media reports said on Sunday.
The blast left 70 people injured.
The incident happened in the Pul-e-Khoshk area of Dasht-e-Barchi after a suicide bomber detonated explosives close to the center, officials told Tolo News.
The Interior Ministry said that the suicide bomber was identified by security guards at the center and detonated his explosives before reaching his target, reports the news portal.
The Taliban denied its involvement in the incident.
Eyewitnesses told Tolo News dozens of students were in their classes when the attack happened.
Several nearby houses were damaged by the blast.

US Chargé d’Affaires Ross Wilson condemned the incident and tweeted: "I condemn today's cowardly suicide bombing of an educational center in Kabul. Afghans want a peaceful future and reject this violence, and Americans stand with them."
