Kabul:  An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion hit Afghanistan's Pul-e-Khumri city on Saturday which left at least three people, including civilians, killed, media reports said.

Assistant Baghlan Governor spokesman Zabihullah Hasas told Pajhwok Afghan news that a magnetic-bomb attached to Police vehicle exploded in centre of Pul-e-Khumri city.

The spokesman said two civilians including Amin Akakhil, deputy  police of First Police District, were among the six wounded individuals.

Hasas claimed Akakhil’s health condition as stable but said the rest of the wounded were in critical condition and were sent to Kabul for treatment.

Abdullah Malang, spokesman of Baghlan department of Public health told Pajhwok Afghan news that two bodies and six wounded were brought to their hospital on the night of explosion.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
