Afghanistan: Taliban mortar attack leaves 9 people wounded

Kabul: At least nine members of a family were wounded as a  mortar round fired by Taliban militants landed on their house in Afghanistan, media reports said.

The 201st Silab Corps in a statement said the Taliban militants fired a mortar round which impacted a civilian house in Sherzad district of Nangarhar province, Khaama Press reported.

The statement further added that the Taliban militants fired the mortar round on Saturday which landed on a civilian house Angar area of Sherzad district, the Afghanistan-based news agency reported.

The Taliban group did not comment on the matter so far.
