BNM protest in London against the siege of Zehri

The Baloch National Movement (BNM) held a day-long awareness campaign and protest in London to denounce the ongoing siege of Zehri and highlight the worsening human rights situation in occupied Balochistan.

Participants of the protest stated that during October, Pakistani military airstrikes in Zehri killed at least six civilians, including four children, and destroyed several homes.

The BNM condemned these acts as “state crimes,” saying that the Punjabi ar

my has imposed a strict siege on Zehri and nearby areas — including Nichara, Pandran, Kumbi, and Balbal — for over a month.

Under curfew and lockdown conditions, residents have been deprived of food, clean water, and medical care.

Addressing the protest, Faheem Baloch (Foreign Secretary ), Manzoor Baloch (BNM UK President) Niaz Baloch (Coordinator Foreign Department ) , along with,Ilyas, Yaseen, Asif, Manzoor Hussain, Salar, Balach, Abdullah, Fahad, and others, declared the current situation a case of collective punishment and a clear violation of international humanitarian law.

The BNM called on the United Kingdom to immediately suspend all financial and military assistance to Pakistan and to support an independent international investigation into the civilian killings and enforced disappearances in Zehri and across Balochistan.

The main demonstration took place outside the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) , while awareness activities continued throughout the day at Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square.

Protesters distributed informational pamphlets and engaged with the public to spread BNM’s message.

Young participants, including children, also took part and expressed their thoughts in public addresses during the demonstration.

In its appeal, the BNM urged the international community, particularly the United Kingdom, to closely examine human rights abuses in Balochistan and to reconsider its relations with Pakistan , especially those that directly or indirectly enable such violations.
