Victoria, May 28 (IBNS): A train had recently struck a man in the level crossing resulting in the death of the victim, media reports said.

Matthew Jarvis, 40, was in the wheel chair while he was struck by the train.

The incident had happened on Saturday evening when his motorised wheelchair was struck in the railway tracks.

Though two women rushed to help the man, the latter was struck by the train.

Jarvis' partner Valerie Schneider has been quoted by CTV News as, "Some angels of God tried to help him and whoever you are, I thank you, my family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts."

One of the women, who rushed to help Jarvis, was hit in one arm by the train. However the woman is expected to recover.

Jarvis' family is demanding changes in the level crossing to make it safer for the people.
