Canada: German tourist shot in head in Alberta

Edmonton, Aug 3 (IBNS): A German tourist was shot in head while driving in rural Alberta, media reports said.

The incident occurred just before noon on Thursday.

Alberta RCMP are investigating the possible road rage.

The 60-year old driver was rushed to death with bullet in his head.

Three other family members, who were inside the car, sustained injuries.

Sgt. Tom Kalis has been quoted by CTV News as saying, "One of the theories that we are working through right now is a possible road rage incident."

"And so one of the possibilities is that as this vehicle was passing the Dodge Dakota, that there was a discharge of a firearm.”

Kalis even stated that the incident is isolated.

"We don't perceive a risk to the public at all. It's certainly a rather serious and disturbing incident but we don't have any evidence to suggest that this is anything relating to series of crimes.”
