Canada: York police to investigate death of woman in Richmond Hill

Toronto, Dec 21 (IBNS): York Regional Police will investigate the case in which a 28-year-old woman was found dead in Richmond Hill on Wednesday morning, media reports said.

The Homicide Unit of York Regional Police have been called up to investigate the case.

The report said, when the police reached the spot, the woman was dead. Later the police arrested a 27-year-old man.

Const. Laura Nicolle was quoted by Star: "We believe that they are known to one another."

Police said a post-mortem will have to be conducted to identify the cause of the death.

The body of the deceased has several signs of trauma, report said.
