Donald Trump targets WHO, questions lockdown

| @indiablooms | Oct 15, 2020, at 06:06 pm

Washington: US President Donald Trump recently slammed World Health Organization and said the Chinese dominated body  was “wrong about everything.”

“The World Health Organisation came out a little while ago and admitted that Donald Trump was right. The lockdowns are doing tremendous damage to these Democrat-run states where they are in lockdown,” he was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times at a rally in Sanford, Florida.

Referring to WHO envoy David Nabarro's comments on lockdown, Trump said he “was right” about not imposing Covid-19 lockdowns.

He recently questioned the legitimacy of lockdowns as a means to stop the spread of coronavirus.

"We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus," Nabarro was quoted as saying by ABC News.

Targeting WHO and China, he said, "China dominates them and I said it doesn’t work that way anymore. They will take us back in so fast with less money."

The COVID-19 virus, which originated from China, has now touched all the nations in the world.

The lockdown imposed due to the virus has hit nations economically.
