Lufthansa cancels several Friday flights
Berlin: After months of attempts to reach a deal between German carrier Lufthansa and its employees union over salary issues, the carrier canceled almost all its passenger and cargo flights on Friday, as per media reports.
Lufthansa cancelled its scheduled flights from its two biggest hubs, Frankfurt and Munich, over pilots' planned strike.
Lufthansa said late Thursday some 800 flights would be canceled.
The company has been blamed by the union of failing to improve on their previous offer for a reconciliation.
