North China: Chemical plant blast kills 3

Hohhot, Apr 24 (UNI): Three people were killed and five others injured in a chemical plant explosion in the city of Ulanqab, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on early Wednesday morning, local authorities said.

The injured have been sent to the hospital, reported Xinhua.

The explosion occurred at 2:55 am in Dongxing Chemical Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Yidong Group Corp Ltd, according to the city authorities.

The local government has mobilized to fight fire and search for survivors.
