Pakistan: PESCO employees threaten strike over brutal killings of colleague

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) employees recently announced a complete strike in Swabi on September 2 to protest the brutal killing of a colleague.

They announced on Monday they would participate in a sit-in demonstration in Aman Chowk in Swabi in Swabi.

They said the power supply to the entire province would be closed if the murderers are not arrested by police.

It may be mentioned here that an official of PESCO was killed and two others injured on Thursday when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on them, according to police officials told The Express Tribune.

The incident occurred in Maneri Payyan village.
