Islamabad, Nov 4 (IBNS): Sharbat Gula, who rose to fame after featuring in the National Geographic cover, will be deported to Afghanistan after serving a 15-day jail sentence and paying a fine of Rs.1,10,000, a Pakistani court directed on Friday, media reports said.

Sharbat Gula was on Friday summoned by a special anti-corruption and immigration court in Peshawar

Gula became popular across the globe after making it to a National Geographic cover.

The Federal Investigation Agency has filed interim chargesheet against Gula in connection with  a case related to forgery to secure Pakistani Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC).
