Taliban behind Kabul University attack: Saleh
Kabul/UNI: Afghanistan's First Vice President Amrullah Saleh on Tuesday blamed the Taliban for the Kabul University attack and claimed that there are many evidences to prove his claim.
Saleh, who is the former head of the National Directorate of Security(NDS) the premier national intelligence and security service of Afghanistan, said the weapons used by the attackers do not match the weapons shown by “fake” Daesh in it's statement, which claimed responsibility for the attack.
Saleh said the two men shown in “fake” Daesh statement do not resemble the “terrorists” killed in the Kabul University attack yesterday.
The first vice president said that the Taliban flag was also found in a box belonging to the attackers. He said that the last words they wrote on the walls of the classrooms were “long live Taliban.”
Tolonews quoted Saleh saying that the ay the attackers operated was same as the way a new Taliban outfit named Fatih Zwak operates in Khost province.
Saleh said the attack was discussed in their daily meeting with security officials in which the Resolute Support officials were also present.
Saleh added that 19 people were killed and 40 others were wounded in the attack. He added that 15 of the wounded have been discharged and two of them are in critical condition.
