Kampala/Xinhua/UNI: Uganda has registered four new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 18, according to the ministry of health.
Minister of Health Ruth Aceng tweeted Friday that out of the 197 samples run on Thursday, four have tested positive for COVID-19.
"The four new confirmed cases presented symptoms similar to COVID-19 while in quarantine and (have) now (been) evacuated to Mulago National Specialized Hospital," Aceng said.
Diana Atwine, permanent secretary at the ministry, tweeted that the 197 people who were tested are mostly Ugandan returnees from Dubai.
