UN nuclear watchdog to meet about nuclear security, Iran, North Korea

Vienna, Sept 6 (Xinhua/UNI) UN atomic watchdog's 35-nation Board of Governors will convene a meeting at the agency's headquarters here on Monday, according to its website.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors will discuss about nuclear safety and security, verification and monitoring in the Islamic Republic of Iran in light of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015), application of safeguards in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, application of IAEA safeguards in the Middle East, among other things.

The Board of Governors meeting will be closed to the press.

Acting Director General Cornel Feruta will open the meeting with an introductory statement, and he is also expected to hold a news conference at 12:30 GMT on Monday.
