US adult star Daniels arrested in Ohio, claims lawyer
Ohio, July 12 (IBNS): US adult movie star Stormy Daniels has been arrested in a strip club in Colombus, Ohio as stated by her lawyer.
According to a tweet by lawyer Micheal Avenatti, Daniels was booked by the police for allegedly allowing a customer touch her in a “non-sexual manner.”
However, this is not the first time Daniels has been in the news.
Earlier, she had alleged that she had slept with US President Donald Trump, way back in 2006.
Trump had denied such allegations.
Avenatti termed this detention as a “setup” and being “politically motivated.”
Requests for confirmation of the arrest which took place at the Sirens Club, are yet to be responded to by a spokesperson of the Columbus police.
Avenatti tweeted that Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has been staging, “ the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs".
He tweeted, “Just rcvd word that my client @StormyDaniels was arrested in Columbus Ohio whole performing the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs. This was a setup & politically motivated. It reeks of desperation. We will fight all bogus charges. #Basta”
He also said that he hopes to see his client out on bail soon while being charged with a misdemeanour.
He also pledged to, “vehemently contest all charges.”
The Community Defense Act-a law in Ohio prohibits a person to touch a nude or a semi-nude dancer unless they are related to each other.
Sirens, only last month had tweeted that Daniels would make two “exclusive appearances” at the nightclub.
However, they declined to comment on this when contacted.
Daniels revealed that she was paid $130,000 (£98,000) to be silent about her sexual meeting with Trump, just before the 2016 US Presidential Elections.
The adult entertainer is now fighting to free herself from the agreement of non-disclosure and suing of Trump over a defamatory tweet against her.
Trump, however, has denied all such claims.
