US: Eight killed in shootings at three spas in Atlanta

Atlanta/UNI: At least 8 people, including four women, were killed in three separate shootings at spas in Atlanta, police said on Tuesday.

According to the police, the women victims appear to be Asian.

The police found two people dead and three others injured at a spa in Acworth, Georgia. The injured were rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Later, two died of injuries, Cherokee County Sheriff's spokesperson Jay Baker said.

A suspect was taken into custody in the Acworth shooting.

In a separate incident, the police said they responded to a robbery call at the Gold Massage Spa on Piedmont Road here and found three people dead.

In the third incident of shooting, which occurred across the street at the Aroma Therapy Spa, the police found one person dead.

The investigation was on to know whether the shooting at three different locations were connected.
