US targets Iran’s top leadership: Mojtaba Khamenei named in Rewards for Justice List

| @indiablooms | Mar 14, 2026, at 05:34 pm

The United States has announced a reward of $10 million (around ₹92.47 crore) for information leading to the whereabouts of Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and several other senior Iranian figures, as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East.

The reward has been offered through the US Department of State’s ‘Rewards for Justice’ programme.

“Got information on these Iranian terrorist leaders?” an official post on X said.

“Send us a tip. It could make you eligible for a reward and relocation,” the statement added.

The list includes several top Iranian figures, including Mojtaba Khamenei, who was recently named Iran’s new Supreme Leader.

His appointment followed the death of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in a joint strike by the United States and Israel on Tehran on February 28.

Apart from the Supreme Leader, the list also includes Iranian military commander Yahya Rahim Safavi and Iranian cleric Ali Asghar Hijazi, among others.

Tensions in the Middle East escalated sharply after the US and Israel launched a major strike on Tehran on February 28, triggering a wider confrontation in the region.
