Woman fatally struck by a car in Toronto

Mississauga, Nov. 9 (IBNS): Peel Regional Police were called at the intersection of Hurontario Street and Elia Avenue in the core of Mississauga at 12:54 p.m. on Wednesday, after a 76-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car.

The police found the woman with life-threatening injuries. The Major Crime Branch had been notified by the police.

The struck victim was later pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle did not leave the scene of the action.

Police collision investigators are investigating the case.

Police said, Hurontario Street will remain closed between Eglinton Avenue West and Highway 403 for an extended period.
