Apple is planning to introduce new AI-powered smart device next year

Tech major Apple plans to launch a new product that can control appliances, handle videoconferencing and even use AI to navigate apps.

According to reports, the device will be a wall-mounted display and an official announcement over the product could be made in March.

The company is gearing up to announce the device as early as March and will position it as a command center for the home, people with knowledge about the development told Bloomberg.

The product, code-named J490, also will spotlight the new Apple Intelligence AI platform, the source told the media.

Apple is likely to launch the product with an aim to compete with  Amazon’s Echo Hub and Google’s Nest Hub in the smart home segment.

The price of the device will now be closely monitored when it hits the market.
