Bikram Ghosh's academy announces city's fourth center of performing arts

Kolkata, May 26 (IBNS): Bikram Ghosh Academy of performing Arts (BGAPA), a private institution for providing professional training in music,dance,and musical instruments, recently announced the launch of its fourth center in Kolkata from June 2015.

The academy started eleven months ago and currently has three centers in Kolkata with a base of over four hundred students.

It will soon spread its wings by not only establishing a center in Hyderabad but also it aims to spread across the world.

Plans are on to have overseas centers in Singapore, Bangladesh and UK.

The city's new center for performing arts under BGAPA will be in Salt Lake.

The academy set up by Bikram Ghosh in association with Sanjay Bhalotia is fetched with teachers who are among the well-known artists in the country.

Veteran Tabla Guru Pt Shankar Ghosh, Danseuse Jays Ghosh, Vocalist Kumar Mukherjee and others are a part of it.

Bikram Ghosh said, "We do workshops,we have even lined up with many renowned artists who will take part here to train the pupils. Also we will organize summer camps."

He said, "The admission has nothing to do with age, anybody who admires art is welcome. We generally give offers and discounts on admission."

"Moreover,the institution provides added facilities to exclusive talents in order they does not have a strong financial background. We create performers not just artists," Bikram added.

"The academy is our child and we give it as much as we can and I wish it to flourish in future", said Alokparna Ghosh, the well-known classical dancer who is also a teacher in BGAPA.

The academy offers opportunities and platform to learn a wide range of subjects like eastern and western vocals, Rabindra-sangeet, Sitar, Sarad, Guitar and even dance forms.The centers are equipped with modern facilities.

All the proposed centers of the BGAPA would follow a standard format.It aims to harness local talents and keep on climbing the steps of success.
