Chhath celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, other parts of India
New Delhi, Nov 17 (IBNS) Chhath was celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand and other parts of the country on Tuesday, the beginning of the four-day festival as scores of thousands of people offered prayers to to the Sun through traditional rituals.
While it starts with Kharna, prayers are offered by the devotees on banks of rivers on the evening of the third day and the morning of the fourth day. The timings of the prayers on river banks depend on the time of sunset and sunrise.
