Fevicol to host 11th edition of annual ‘Caring with Style’ fashion show
The show, organised in association with the Cancer Patient’s Aid Association, will be held on March 20th at NSCI Stadium, Pidilite announced at a press conference on Saturday.
The new theme for the show - Judenge, Ladenge, Jeetenge - was also unveiled on the occassion. Funds raised from the show will be donated to CPAA towards the treatment of children suffering from blood cancer.
Renowned fashion designers Shaina NC and Manish Malhotra have lent their support to the event and will be designing a range of styles which will be showcased by icons from the film fraternity, achievers and prominent figures from different walks of life on the ramp.
This year the theme of the show has moved one step further. The theme Judenge, Ladenge, Jeetenge symbolises unification, the spirit to fight and grit to win.
The ‘Caring with Style’ fashion show is part of Pidilite’s commitment to support children suffering from blood cancer. Over the last ten years it has been held, the event has seen strong support from prominent figures including Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, who walked the ramp last year.
Their peers from the film fraternity like Zayed Khan and Anu Malik as well as other celebrities and notable public figures like Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, actor Varsha Usgaonkar, health guru Mickey Mehta, model Diandra Soares, singer Shaan and music director duo the Meet brothers have also lent their support.
In all, the last ten editions of the event put together have raised a decent amount for the treatment of blood cancer patients.
Shaina NC said, “It gives me immense satisfaction to see the growing awareness and increased support for children suffering from cancer. The concept of ‘Caring With Style’ is ‘glamour with a purpose’ and I thank all my celebrity friends and each one associated with the event for the support they extend to the cause each year. It is truly overwhelming and I am sure it will be equally, if not even more, so this year.”
Manish Malhotra said, “It’s an honour to be a part of a cause as noble as this, which not only celebrates fashion but also raises funds for those suffering with cancer. This year too people from varied walks of life would walk the ramp. This year my collection would be of handloom textile.For the past several years our label has been encouraging Indian contemporary styles and this year too we will continue to highlight exquisite Indian designs through our creations.”
