Kolkata, Feb 23 (IBNS): One of India's popular gastro-pub chain, the Monkey Bar, is all set with a special festive spread between February 28  and March 4, this year, to celebrate Holi, the festival of colours.

The signature 'Holi High' festival will be held at Monkey Bar outlets in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata.

Those who prefer to go traditional during Holi, Monkey Bar is offering endless pitchers of thandai, laced with almonds, milk, aromatic spices -- both the loaded and the ‘non spiked’ version -- the company said in its release.

Typcial Holi savories such as 'gujiyas' will be available alongside a ‘desi’ menu consisting of papdi chaat, khasta matar kachoris, hot bedmi puris with raseele aloo and more.

Did you know that Monkey Gujiyas are flaky, sweet dumplings stuffed with cream cheese, almond and cashew nuts, topped with dry cranberry and dusted with cardamom sugar.

Or, you may order the Cocktail Masala Idlis tossed in ghee, gunpowder and curry leaf and served with garlic and coconut chutneys.

Or, go for the  Ricotta Dahi Bhalla - the 'bhalla' stuffed with ricotta and walnut and topped with sweet yogurt and a generous drizzle of tangy tamarind chutney.

The special Holi Food menu is priced at Rs 180 per plate, Virgin Thandai at Rs 200 and Thandai at Rs 350; prices mentioned are exclusive of taxes.
