Kolkata: Eat Good Food introduces a bakery section and a revamped menu

Kolkata, Jun 6 (IBNS): Eat Good Food, one of Kolkata's popular all-day cafe, has opened a bakery section and also revamped its regular menu, tweaking it especially to help its patrons counter the summer heat.

Besides Keto Bread, whole wheat garlic bread, German bread and whole wheat pizza base, the bakery section also has Keto Chocolate and Coconut Slice, Orange Financier, Crème Brulee and Beetroot and Orange Meringue.

While the cafe has retained some of the old favorites (such as Atlantic salmon with arugula cheese balls, high protein lasagna, chocolate ganache and feta stuffed chicken), the new menu has a selection of small and large plates, including assorted bruschetta (toasted slice bread top with olive, tomato and pesto cottage cheese), keto cheesy balls (cheese balls deep fried and coated with no carb flour), Italian prawn salad (grilled prawns, lettuce, zucchini, black olives and tomatoes in garlic vinaigrette dressing), fish bites (small chunks of grilled fish served with creamy dill sauce), Napolitana gnocchi (sweet potato gnocchi in tomato sauce), spinach and cottage cheese (whole wheat ravioli stuffed with cottage cheese served with spinach sauce) and chicken base pizza (pizza made of chicken base topped with bell peppers, baby corn, spinach, black olive and cheese).

Desserts include coconut chia pudding (pudding made of chia seeds and almond milk with a hint of orange), fresh fruits pizza (made of whole wheat thin crust topped with seasonal fruits) and brownie tree (made with 70% dark chocolate filled with strawberry sauce), etc.

With the onset of summer, some of the new drinks introduced include iced mango green tea, coconut basil fresca, ginger mint green tea lemonade, among others.

A meal for two will cost Rs 800 upwards (plus taxes). The cafe, located in Ballygunge, remains open on all days from 8.30am to 11pm.
