Kolkata, Jan 29 (IBNS): BDM International, formerly B. D. Memorial Institute affiliated with the CBSE board, observed its gold Anniversary (50th) with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm on Thursday with academicians and movie stars adding verve to a colourful cultural event at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.

The Vice-Chancellor of Jadavpur University Dr. Suranjan Das was the guest of honor while the programme was anchored by Tollywood actor-filmmaker Parambrata Chatterjee.

Dr. Suranjan Das in his speech exhorted the students to feel fortunate to be a part of the wonderful learning process and asked them to give back to the society in whatever way they can when they join their professions.

He urged the students to keep the flag of their school flying aloft while also keeping the flag of the country flying high too.

Ganpati Vandana, Dance and Recitation were performed by the school students while popular singers like Anwesha Dutta and Satish Gajneer took to the stage to regale the students who were all charged up.

BDM International  Principal Vijaya Chaudhuri said, “The story of our past is now a brightly woven tapestry of hardship and struggles. The successes of our students have made us so proud. Precious are the memories of all the years we've left behind and we now move towards another milestone to achieve through the celebration of 50 glorious years of attainment- so beautiful, captivating and utterly heavenly.”

Former teachers were also felicitated by the ex students of BDM International.
