Chümoukedima/Nagaland: Rev Dr Chingmak Chang, founder and Secretary of the Eleotheros Christian Society (ECS) Tuensang, delivered a motivational talk at St Joseph University (SJU) in Chümoukedima, on May 5.

The event's theme was "Against all odds," and Rev Chingmak spoke about the key qualities that social entrepreneurs must have in order to be successful.

Rev Chingmak highlighted the importance of having a purpose in life, providing quality leadership, having optimism in the face of challenges, consistency in one's passion, and being brave and honest, reported The Morung Express.

He emphasized that young MBA students must find their purpose to have a meaningful university life, just as social entrepreneurs must find their purpose to succeed in their business.

Rev Chingmak added that social entrepreneurs are different from regular business people because they go to the level of the people and understand their needs.

They sit with the people and try to solve their problems. He also noted that social entrepreneurship can become a career only if one has found their purpose.

During the talk, Rev Chingmak commented on the mistakes made by the government, stating that they presume the people need something and give it without consulting the villagers.

He encouraged young leaders to build attitudes of earnestness, honesty, and helpfulness, as attitude plays an important role in leadership.

Rev Chingmak highlighted that villagers and customers are the most intelligent people and should not be fooled. He emphasized that when trying to do something for them; they look for attitude and character.

The Department of Management, along with Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), organized the event.
