New Year plans from The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat
Kolkata/IBNS: Bid a graceful goodbye to the old year while ringing in the new at The WestIn Kolkata Rajarhat where you have a wide choice across its three restaurants.
On December 31, 2019, the hotel’s all day dining, Seasonal Tastes, perched on the 10th floor, will offer an extensive special menu, along with a live band to capture the festive mood.
The theme for this year’s grand feast is Indian Regional Cuisine, which goes beyond traditional flavours and introduces an assortment of Hyderabadi street food, Kolkata grills, Tangra wok station, a live counter imitating the famous Paranthe waali galli, a kathi roll section and a live tapas counter.
Noteworthy dishes include “Lifafa masala macchli with mint mayo”, “Roast chicken in Hoi sin spring rolls with plum sauce”, “Polenta cake with blue cheese sauce”, to name a few.
The buffet also includes western and Mediterranean sections.
On New Year's Day, both Seasonal Tastes and and 31/32, the city’s highest rooftop bar, plates some of the season’s favourites in the brunch buffet.
The menu includes “Suckling Pig”, a carving station offering “Roasted Turkey”, “Whole Roasted Baby Lamb” and “Roasted Capon”, a live grilled meat station and a grand display of desserts.
Along with the scrumptious food offerings, the restaurants will offer hot chocolate and spiced tea as special welcome drinks and premium alcoholic options with the buffet.
Live music at both the venues will brighten up the New Year brunch.
Vedic, a recent addition to The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat’s restaurants list, serves Indian organic food based on seasonality, using regional flavours in contemporary presentation while maintaining tradition and the idea of homely food.
Vedic blends provincial flavours in modern renditions in their signature dishes.
