Oppo Reno 11 series to launch in India today
Smartphone maker Oppo has said it will introduce its proprietary colour calculation technology—the Hypertone Imaging Engine—on its new Reno11 Series.
The latest series will be released on Friday.
The company said its imaging algorithm will join other OPPO innovations such as SUPERVOOCTM and BHE (Battery Health Engine) for faster, safe-charging, long-lasting batteries and an industry-leading 10-bit colour display.
OPPO’s upgraded processing algorithm leverages the 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera’s 1/1.56-inch ultra-large sensor for vivid and detailed captures during evening gatherings, music concerts, and dimly-lit environments.
Indoors, the camera’s AI Denoise feature comes into play to deliver crisp, detailed images in myriad lighting conditions; the integration of OIS and all-pixel omnidirectional PDAF guarantees stability and clarity by eliminating motion blurs in action photos involving sports, children and even pets.
AI Innovation in Portrait Photography
The Portrait Mode in the Reno11 Series—rear and front cameras—lets users adjust the aperture from F1.4 to F16 to control background bokeh and bokeh flare; this aperture can also be adjusted during post-processing, the company said.

These portrait cameras are backed by the 32MP IMX709 RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) camera sensors—co-developed by OPPO and Sony—for high-quality portraits even in dimly lit surroundings.
The white (W) added to each sensor increases the light intake by 60% and reduces noise by 35% compared to a traditional RGGB lens.
OPPO’s facial recognition algorithms then enhance photos in real-time after processing 296 facial feature points. Both—front and rear—snappers also incorporate proprietary 4-in-1 pixel aggregation tech to optimise photo output in all light conditions, the smartphone maker said.
Additionally, the 32MP IMX709 rear camera packs a 2x telephoto lens that shortens the distances between foreground and background in photos for more intimate compositions. At the same time, its 47mm focal length provides a human eye-like perspective for proportionate visually-pleasing portraits.
OPPO’s Portrait AI can distinguish between skin blemishes and beauty spots to eliminate the former but retain the latter; it also factors skin tone, age and the sex of the subject before applying filters of beautification and skin smoothening.
For scenic vistas, the Reno11 Series packs an 8MP 112° ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX355 camera with a 1/4-inch sensor.
the Reno11 Pro packs the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC that comprises a single 3.1GHz Arm Cortex-A78 and three 3.0GHz Arm Cortex-A78 cores for performance and quad 2.0GHz Arm Cortex-A55 cores for efficiency.
MediaTek’s Imagiq 785 camera technology, which boasts a 14-bit HDR-ISP, supports the Reno11's cameras to capture true-to-life HDR videos.
The entry-level Reno11 comes with the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC with two Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked up to 2.6GHz for performance.
It also packs the Arm Cortex-A55 cores, clocking at 2.0GHz for efficiency. Its Arm Mali-G68 GPU is optimised to provide smooth everyday gaming experiences with exceptional power efficiency to extend battery life for longer gaming sessions.
Battery:
The device is equipped with a 4600mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOCTM, which enables 100 percent charging in 28 minutes.
The Reno11, on the other hand, has a sizable 5000mAh battery and supports 67W SUPERVOOCTM charging that juices the battery to 100 percent in 45 minutes.
