Power Publishers gaining inroads into academic and school book publishing
Coming up fast in this publishing space is Kolkata-based Power Publishers, alongside publishers of repute such as S. Chand and Co Ltd, Pioneer, Oswal, Goyal Brothers, and Ratna Sagar.
Making its debut as a house promoting self-publishing, Power Publishers has now entered the arena of academic publications.
It is now the sole publisher for ICSE and ISC Bengali texts books, namely Sankalita and Probondo O Godyo Sankalan.
It is also the publisher of guidebooks to the texts, Sankalita Sahayika and workbook for Probondo and Godyo Sankalan.
Said a teacher from a reputed school in Kolkata, “We are usually very conscious about what our students follow as guidebooks against texts and the Sankalita complete guidebook by Power Publishers offers students a simplified approach to the subjects with the best answers to every possible question that might come for the boards.”
Power Publishers has recently started publishing Madhyamik books with 'Power to Crack Madhyamik English' and 'Power to Crack Madhyamik Ganit Prakash' – guidebooks for English and Maths, respectively.
Power Publishers is also working with authors who wish to self-publish their research or educational titles in India.
Some of the latest titles include A Complete Guide with text to Short Stories and Essays by Dr. Namrata Bajaj and Kiran Jha, which is a guide book for under-graduate students of Burdwan University; TET Made Easy by Dipankar Pal, which is a comprehensive guide for students of TET exam.
A few others academic titles include An Easy Access to English Grammar and Composition, Operations Research, Interview Preparation for Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control Technology, The Language of Love and Friendship in Shakespeare's Plays, Introduction to Engineering Mechanics and Power to Crack ISC Accounts.
