Kolkata, Aug 5 (IBNS): S Hariharan unveiled his debut book 'Runaway Children' in the flagship store of Story, a lifestyle destination in Kolkata.

Based on a true story, “Runaway Children” is Hariharan’s debut book.

Through the story the author attempts to capture the misery that the street-bound children of our world face; vulnerable, struggling to get by on a few rupees and embraced only by despair.

The author claims, at one point of time during his childhood, he was one among many children on the street-dirty and hungry. He labored for fourteen hours each day for food.

Child trafficking is a burning issue, as well as a problem in the global society. The orphaned children make a huge population in today’s world. Almost all of them are deprived of suitable up-bringing and ultimately identify themselves as anti-social or child labours.
