Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva-Miss Universe India 2018 concludes its Kolkata competitive round
Kolkata, July 15 (IBNS): Indian aspirants for the Miss Universe competition are on their toes with the Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva-Miss Universe India 2018 contest rolling across the country.
The winner of this pageant will represent India at the Miss Universe pageant and the first runner-up will represent the country at Miss Supranational Pageant.
The Kolkata edition of the pageant was held recently in the city, where Ankita Trivedi topped the list of contestants.
More than 80 contestants were shortlisted at the Kolkata audition, out of which six contestants were selected to represent the city.
The panel of judges included Peden Ongmu Namgyal, Miss Suprainternational 2017 and Miss Diva Suprainternational 2017, Mohammed Iqbal, a super model who featured in ad campaigns for Manyavar, Next Door Hub, Khadi etc., Darshana Banik, a model who has worked with various brands such as Colors, PC Chandra Jewellers, Vodafone, Boroline, Vivel, etc.
The pageant's preliminary rounds are being held across 10 cities in India.
This will be followed by a four-city tour -- Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Goa -- where the selected contestants will participate in sub-contests.
The final selection and the main event of the pageant will be held in Mumbai.
Former Miss Universe Lara Dutta will serve as the mentor for the whole pageant.
BCCL, a diversified media company is the owner of the Miss Diva pageant with Yamaha as the title sponsor and departmental store Central as the stylists.
Neha Dhupia, Urvashi Rautela and Mansi Moghe are some of the successful names that have emerged out of the Miss Diva pageant.
