14 killed in shooting in California, 2 suspects dead

San Bernardino, United States, Dec 3 (IBNS) In all 14 people were killed and more than a dozen others injured when three heavily armed men opened fire at a social services centre for the disabled in California's San Bernardino on Wednesday, reports said.

The attackers escaped, but about four hours later police gunned down a man and a woman in a black SUV with assault rifles.  A third person who was spotted running away near the scene of the gun battle was detained.

Police cited no motive for the  massacre, which came just five days after a gunman opened fire at Planned Parenthood in Colorado, killing three.

According to reports, , the gunmen invaded the Inland Regional Center and began shooting around 11 a.m. They opened fire in a conference area that the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health had rented out for a banquet.
