Guwahati, July 7 (IBNS): At least four militants belonging to NSCN(R) were killed during a gun battle with Assam Rifles in Arunachal Pradesh's Khunsa area on Thursday morning, officials said.
According to the reports, a troop of Assam Rifles launched operation at the remote area of the bordering state with Myanmar where a militant group was hiding.

“When the troops reached the area, the militants started firing and forced us to exchange bullets in which four hardcore militants were killed on spot,” an official statement of Assam Rifles said.

Other militants managed to flee from the area with the help of darkness.
