600 gelatin sticks, 450 detonators recovered in Assam

Guwahati, Apr 19 (IBNS): Security forces on Wednesday recovered huge quantity of explosives and apprehended two persons from lower Assam’s Kamrup district.

Following a tip-off, troops of Gorkha Regiment and Assam police jointly launched operation at Sakhati area under Boko police station and recovered 600 numbers gelatin stick and 450 numbers detonator.

Security personnel also apprehended two persons in connection with the seizure identified as Suleman Ali and Ilibar Ali Ahmed.

“The person duo had carried the explosives in a Mahindra Pick Up van bearing registration number of AS-15-C-4247,” a top police official said.

“They had allegedly carried the explosives to outfit group,” the police official said.
