New Delhi, July 21 (IBNS) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday protested against the police over the murder of case of a teenager in Anand Parbat area in Delhi.

The AAP supporters staged the protest outside Anand Parbat police station.

The police allegedly resorted to lathi charge to disperse protesters.

"Delhi Police today resorted to lathi charge and persecution to silence the protestors of Aam Aadmi Party Youth Wing volunteers," the Aam Aadmi Party tweeted.

"The SHO of Anand Parbat police station and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Patel Nagar should resign immediately," the party demanded.

It said it will continue to protest the 'inaction and inability of Delhi Police in maintaining law and order situation in the State'.

Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Monday met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the murder of a young girl who was stabbed  protesting sexual assault and said the talk was conducted with the AAP supremo in a 'professional way'.

Bassi was summoned by Kejriwal after nineteen-year-old Minakshi was brutally stabbed to death allegedly by two brothers living in her neighbourhood in central Delhi's Anand Parbat area for protesting their verbally abusing her on July 16.
