Accident kills Andhra minister's son, his friend

Hyderabad, May 10 (IBNS): A rain forced accident in Hyderabad claimed the lives of an Andhra Pradesh Minister's son and his friend, reports said.

The deceased identified as P Nishit, who is the son of Andhra Pradesh municipal administration P Narayana, was driving home at wee hours on Wednesday when an accident claimed his life and of his friend Raja Ravi Varma.

The duo were rushed to Apollo Hospitals, where they were declared brought dead.

According to reports, Nishit tried to swerve his Mercedes Benz around a water filled pothole but lost control and hit a metro rail pillar.

Meanwhile, rain also caused significant damages in the city as trees and electric poles were uprooted in several areas.
