After cleanest Nov day in years, Delhi witnesses worst pollution of season

New Delhi, Nov 6 (IBNS): After improving for few days, Delhi on Monday witnessed the most polluted day of the season.

This was just 24 hours after Delhi recorded the cleanest air in November in at least three years.

The air quality came down from an AQI of 171 (moderate) recorded on Sunday to 426 (severe) on Monday, a difference of more than 250 points, said reports.

According to reports, people in Delhi experienced a toxic haze on Monday with a burning sensation in eyes.

The situation worsened reportedly due to a sudden rise in incursion of pollutants from crop-burning in Punjab-Haryana, a drop in temperatures and a rise in moisture levels.
