After Manipur, now Assam government to start anti-corruption campaign ‘Na Dibo Na Lobo’

Guwahati, Mar 25 (IBNS) : To curb corruption, Assam government to start anti-corruption campaign named ‘Na Dibo Na Lobo’ (not giving not taking) across the state soon.

After Manipur, now Assam government will start the anti-corruption campaign in the state.

A top official of the state government said that, the BJP-led state government will soon start the anti-corruption campaign across the state.

“Initially the campaign to start at the all government department offices and later it will cover other offices,” the official said.

Sarbananda Sonowal government had earlier taken decision to control corruption in the state in the first cabinet meeting in last year.

Following the cabinet decision, the state government had closed down all illegal check gates in the state and initiated probe against several government officials.

Meanwhile, the BJP-led Manipur government has recently decided to set up an anti-corruption cell at the Chief Minister’s secretariat.

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by first BJP Chief Minister of Manipur Nongthombam Biren Singh on March 24 evening.

The Manipur government also enabled a mobile number for the public to inform corruption and malpractices in the government offices.
