New Delhi, Feb 17 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday wrote to Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar and asked for the transfer of bureaucrat Sanjiv Chaturvedi to his office.

In his letter to Javadekar, Kejriwal said: "The services of Shri Sanjiv Chaturvedi, IFS (HR: 2002), who is presently posted as Deputy Secretary, AIIMS , New Delhi, on Central deputation, are urgently required to work as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Chief Minister Office, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi."

"The consent of the said officer is enclosed herewith," he said.

After winning the Delhi Assembly polls, the new AAP  government had taken oath on Saturday.

Last year, triggering a controversy, the Centre had removed Sanjeev Chaturvedi from his post of Chief Vigilance officer of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
