Alia Mir become first woman from Jammu and Kashmir to receive wildlife conservation award
Jammu and Kashmir's Alia Mir has been awarded wildlife conservation award by the UT for her conservation efforts in the region.
She is the first woman from the UT to receive the award.
Alia Mir is also Kashmir’s first woman who works for the charity Wildlife SOS organisation which is part of the Wildlife Rescue Team, reports ANI.
Jammu and Kashmir LT Governor Manoj Sinha awarded her.
“I am thrilled to have been selected for this honour.” I am thankful to all the people who trusted me every step of the way and helped me get to this point,” Alia told ANI.
