All India Forward Bloc condoles A.B. Bardhan's death

New Delhi, Jan 3 (IBNS): The All India Forward Bloc on Sunday mourned the death of senior CPI leader A.B. Bardhan.

"The All India Forward Bloc deeply condole the sad demise of Com. A.B. Bardhan, senior leader of Indian left movement," the party said in a statement.

"Com. Bardhan’s contribution for the working class movement and the left unity will be remembered for ever. He was a guardian figure for all the activists of left and progressive movements. His wisdom and socio-political experience were benefitted to the movement of the left, democratic and secular formations," the party said.

"The All India Forward Bloc dips its flag and banner on the exalted memories of Com. A.B. Bardhan and express our deepest sorrow and grief to the comrades of CPI in particular and the comrades and friends of Indian left-democratic movement in general. We also express our condolence to the bereaved family of Com. A.B. Bardhan," the party said.

Bardhan passed away in New Delhi on Saturday.

According to reports, he passed away after prolonged illness.

He was 92 when death came.

Born on Sept 25, 1924, A. B. Bardhan had served as the  former general secretary of theCommunist Party of India (CPI).

Meanwhile, political leaders have condoled the demise of the leader.
