Amit Shah approved the 50:50 arrangement earlier this year: Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai/IBNS: Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray on Friday trained guns at Devendra Fadnavis for allegedly lying about the 50:50 arrangement, saying that the Sena-BJP alliance was sealed after BJP had agreed on the deal earlier this year.

"Devendra Fadnavis accused me of lying. Amit Shah and Devendra Fadnavis came to me, I did not go to them," he was quoted as saying by NDTV today.

Thackeray said BJP president Amit Shah had accepted to share chief ministership on a rotation basis and added, "Till the time they accept what they said, I will not speak to them."

He also accused BJP of poaching MLAs in Karnataka and challenged it to form a government in Maharashtra on its own.

Earlier today Devendra Fadnavis said Maharashtra Governor has asked him to continue as the acting Chief Minister of the state until a new government is formed or an alternative arrangement is reached.

Fadnavis resigned as Chief Minister of the state earlier in the day.

He met state Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan and handed over his resignation.
