Amit Shah holds Jan Sampark Abhiyan in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Apr 6 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah held a Jan Sampark Abhiyan in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat on Saturday as the country is heading towards the 17th Lok Sabha elections.

Shah, however, is contesting the polls from Gujarat's Gandhinagar constituency.

The Gandhinagar seat is presently held by BJP veteran Lal Krishna Advani, who has been denied a ticket in this election by his party.

Shah, who is from Gujarat, is a Rajya Sabha MP from the state.

All constituencies of the state will go to polls in a single phase on Apr 23.

The poll results will be declared on May 23.
