Amit Shah to attend RSS meet today

| | Jan 01, 2016, at 06:23 pm
Indore, Jan 1 (IBNS) BJP national president Amit Shah is likely to attend the RSS meet, scheduled to take place on Friday.

The RSS or Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is the ideological mentor and a close aide of the right wing BJP party.

Shah's attendance is seen as a tactical move as the party president election is nearing, with his own term coming to an end soon.

According to reports, the RSS now plans to extend its network outside India.

BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya was quoted by TOI as saying, "The RSS has network of frontal organizations across the world. The meeting will focus on how better to make them familiar with Hindu festivals and ethos overseas."

Vijayvargiya is likely to accompany Shah in today's meeting.
