Amit Shah to be new BJP president?

| | Jun 26, 2014, at 04:18 pm
New Delhi, June 26 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi's close aide Amit Shah is likely to be the next president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The seat fell vacant after Rajnath Singh was appointed the Union Home Minister in Modi's Cabinet.

Senior leaders of BJP's ideological patron Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held a discussion over the issue in Rajasthan's Chittor on Wednesday.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's decision will be considered final in case of the appointment.

Shah is accused of being allegedly involved in the Tulsiram Prajapati fake encounter case.
