Antony Blinken, S Jaishankar discuss West Asia situation, Ukraine during a meeting in Washington DC
Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington DC on Tuesday when they discussed the ongoing crisis in West Asia and Ukraine.
Jaishankar and Blinken also discussed further deepening of bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

"We followed up on the Delaware bilateral and Quad meetings. Our discussions also covered deepening bilateral cooperation, situation in West Asia, recent developments in the Indian subcontinent, the Indo-Pacific and Ukraine," he said.
A statement issued by the US State Department said: "Secretary Blinken noted Prime Minister Modi’s August visit to Kyiv and reiterated the importance of a just and lasting peace for Ukraine."
Narendra Modi visited Ukraine in August and met President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The two leaders also met in New York last month.
Blinken and Jaishankar also discussed plans to expand collaboration on clean energy initiatives to address the global climate crisis.
