Arrested Indian national in Pakistan has no link with govt: MEA

New Delhi, Mar 25 (IBNS) Acknowledging that the arrested Indian national in Pakistan is a former Navy officer, the Indian government on Friday said he has no link with the government.

"The individual has no link with Government since his premature retirement from Indian Navy," read a MEA statement as available with the media.

Pakistan summoned the Indian High Commissioner over the alleged illegal entry into  the country by a RAW officer and his involvement in subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi.

" The Indian High Commissioner was summoned by the Foreign Secretary today (25th March 2016) and through a demarche conveyed our protest and deep concern on the illegal entry into Pakistan by a RAW officer and his involvement in subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi," Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Sources told Geo News Foreign Office officials apprised Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale over the arrest of RAW’s serving Indian Navy commander from Balochistan.
