Arun Jaitley to present Modi govt's first full fledged budget
With expectations running high, it remains to be seen if the budget packs some big bang reforms or follows more a populist line.
The Economic Survey 2014-15 tabled in Parliament on Friday ahead of the General Budget said the GDP growth at constant market prices is expected to accelerate to between 8.1 and 8.5 percent in 2015-16, indicating that it is time for big bang reforms.
"It appears that India has reached a sweet spot and that there is a scope for Big Bang reforms now," said the Economic Survey.
He will be presenting his budget speech at 11 am.
