New Delhi, Sept 3 (IBNS) : Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Jyoti Prakash Rajkhowa has been asked to step down from his post due to his health condition, The Indian Express reported.

Citing state government sources, the report claims that a private person from Guwahati, Assam was sent to Rajkhowa on August 29  to convey the message.

Rajkhowa was in the centre of a controversy after the Supreme Court declared his decision to impose President’s rule in Arunachal Pradesh “unconstitutional”.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was accused of  dislodging the Congress Government in the state with thehelp of Rajkhowa.
